Mandated by the state to provide a snapshot into student academic performance throughout the School Year. Results are used to guide individual student instruction. |
Formative results are reported to parents upon request and/or at student/teacher/parent meetings. |
Citizenship Assessment |
Grades 9-12 |
This assessment is a state graduation requirement. The test is administered to all students until the requirement is met. |
The results MAY be used as student grade. This is determined at the building level. |
District Developed Math Benchmarks |
At the end of each grading period. |
Scores are used to guide instruction as well as individual student academic needs. |
Scores are not used for a grade, but are used to help teachers help students become successful on high stakes state testing. |

Screening results are not typically distributed outside the school due to their formative nature, but parents can request the information from the school as needed. Results are not used for grades. |
Optional Additional Universal Fall Screening (AimsWeb) Grades K-
10 |

screening provides additional information for students and is administered at the school’s discretion. |

PSAT / NMSQT Grades 9-11 | Oct 22, 2018 165 minutes total time | The optional PSAT is the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test and provides a national benchmark for student achievement. TCAP Alternate Assessments

Citizenship Assessment (Skyward)

Skyward to document participation for graduation. The use of scores for grades is a building-level decision. |
ACT Grade 11 | April 11, 2019 state test administration 175 minutes total
time |
ACT is an achievement test that assesses students’ academic readiness for college.
While this is a state mandated administration, participating on the ACT is a JCS graduation requirement. Click here for the ACT site |
Like all ACT test administrations, scores are typically available online
through ACT 2-4 weeks after testing. Other reporting is released soon after. Results are not used for grades |
