The Jackson County Board of Education is accepting applications for the position of:
HIGH SCHOOL Economics and Personal Finance Teacher – to teach grades 9-12 at Jackson County High School. Applicants must hold a valid Tennessee licensure with appropriate certification.
The High School Economics and Personal Finance Teacher is responsible for providing engaging instruction in economics and financial literacy while preparing students for postsecondary education, careers, and adult life. Essential duties include planning and delivering standards-based lessons, teaching practical financial concepts such as budgeting, banking, credit, investing, and consumer economics, assessing and monitoring student progress, maintaining a positive and effective classroom environment, and collaborating with parents, staff, and administration to support student success. The teacher is also expected to integrate technology and real-world applications into instruction while following all district policies and state educational standards.
